Karibu!
I am writing this note from Nairobi, Kenya, at Primero’s 10th anniversary and the Primero Annual Global meeting where I am spending the week with over 70 participants from 35 countries gathered at this beautiful golf resort to share their experiences leveraging Primero for case management in Child Protection (CP) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) programs.
Yesterday was day one, and interoperability was the recurring theme across presentations and discussions around scaling individual country programs. As @aleksa-krolls often say, this is the bread and butter of OpenFn—making it easier for disparate systems to speak together, share sensitive information without compromising integrity, and facilitate collaborations between different organizations with different processes to achieve impactful outcomes at scale.
Over the next few days, I will be talking to social protection specialists from UN agencies like UNICEF, UNFPA, WFP, and Government parastatals to understand how we might help them achieve efficiency in their workforce resource allocation and overall programming.
I am stocked about our work at OpenFn – driving responsible and sustainable impact at scale for governments and humanitarian organizations.

We have also written about some of our work automating workflows and data exchange between Primero and other applications.
